What we validate

Practice identity verification
We verify CQC registration (aesthetics) or GDC registration (dental) before a practice account is activated.

Invoice authenticity
Uploaded invoices are checked for supplier VAT numbers, invoice dates, and product descriptions matching known supplier catalogues.

Weighting of typed-in prices
Prices added without an invoice are weighted by the submitter’s email: a confirmed practice email counts in full, webmail and unconfirmed emails count for less, and disposable addresses are ignored.

Price plausibility checks
Outliers such as pack/unit mix-ups and typos are removed automatically before percentiles are calculated, and administrators can exclude anything that looks wrong.

Duplicate detection
Each invoice is fingerprinted to prevent the same invoice being submitted multiple times by the same or different practices.
Data freshness
Benchmarks are recalculated weekly. Data older than 18 months is progressively downweighted. See our methodology for full details.
